What’s a surefire way to make sure you look your absolute best on your wedding day? Make it a priority to add a bridal portrait session to you plans! But why, you might ask.
Well, aside from the fact that you’ll get a ton of beautiful photos of you in your dress, I see brides use bridal portraits primarily as a trial run for their hair and makeup. Your stylist will work with you to get the look you want, and then you’ll be able to see how that translates into photos. I’ve had a few brides make changes – to their veil, to their makeup colors, altering their dress a bit – after seeing how things turned out in their test run. Many brides also order an extra bouquet, again as a test to see how the final arrangement will turn out for their wedding day. You’re able to get so much more variety and not feel rushed at the wedding by doing a bridal session before your big day!
Bridal sessions are so wonderfully sneaky! I feel like I’m on top-secret lockdown because I get to see all the details before most anyone else! This was definitely the case with Kate too. You saw highlights from her wedding day on the blog yesterday, but I had met up with her several weeks ago for her own bridal session. From her intricately detailed dress to her killer Louboutin heels, she was striking!
I’ve been dying to share these photos on the blog and I’m excited that today I can finally post some highlights! Enjoy!
