The adorable historic district of Harper’s Ferry, WV is one of my favorite places to shoot engagement photos, especially in the winter, because of all the architectural elements that are just so charming. If you can get past the lack of parking, that is! I still think it’s so worth it!
As Cat and Josh and I wandered around town, I got to hear about all their plans for their Greenbrier wedding later this year. And also about how they first met. I love hearing the stories of how couples get together or first meet. In Cat and Josh’s case, it goes all the way back to high school when they were just 14! They were each others’ first boyfriend and girlfriend, and each others’ first loves. Now it’s not unexpected that high school romances eventually fizzle out, but these two reconnected later in life and hit it off all over again! What’s meant to be is meant to be!
When it came time for the proposal, it wasn’t a surprise. Cat and Josh figured that they’re already planning a life together and wanting to get married, so why not plan the engagement together too. They went shopping together and designed a custom ring that is just so gorgeous.
I can’t wait to see what these two come up with for their wedding this fall, but enjoy some of the highlights from their engagement photos from Harpers Ferry in the meantime!
