Everyone always says their wedding was memorable. And I hope that it would be! But there are a few extraordinary things that stand out to me about Lauren and Bill’s Briar Patch wedding.
First of all, it wasn’t even planned to be there at first. They had another location all lined up but found out late into planning that the venue was cancelling on them and they had to scramble to find somewhere new! They say it worked out for the best though because Briar Patch allowed them to bring their dog and include him in the festivities.
If that wasn’t crazy enough, Lauren had just finished graduating from law school and is very actively studying for the bar exam later this summer. She planned the whole wedding while still in school and took a weekend off from her 8-10 hour days of studying to marry her love.
The last thing that is so crazy to me is that Lauren and Bill were married by Father Rick, who married Steve and I more than 10 years ago. What’s more is that this was Father Rick’s last wedding because he is retiring this summer. So in all my years of shooting weddings, I think I timed that one just right to come full circle!
Lauren and Bill had a gorgeous sunny day to have friends and family join them in prayer, lawn games, and dance floor antics. It was the kind of celebrate you dream of to set you new marriage off on a high note. I was honored to be part of their day, and I hope you all enjoy some highlights from Lauren and Bill‘s Briar Patch wedding!
Special thanks the team that helped make the day great:
